Weekend Remix: Butterfly Evolve To Techno Remix
Song: Digimon Techno remix
Based On: Butter-Fly From Digimon Adventure
Original Composers: Hidenori Chiwata and Cher Watanabe
This week’s DigiDestined remix comes to our ears thanks to the Germany based DJ_ Phantom. The poltergeist-titled DJ decided to take a trip to the “Digital World” and tackle Butter-Fly, the opening theme to Digimon Adventure.
Butter-Fly is a J-Pop song where the energetic guitar riffs and bouncy sounding vocals instantly grab you before you’re hit with that infectious chorus. But where Butter-Fly’s grasp was instant, Phantom’s techno remix comes off as more of a gradual yet satisfying build. The familiar chorus serves as the main hook on this remix and keeps you going until the drums come kicking along.
If Butter-Fly is an audio vision of butterfly literally flying, then Phantom’s remix is the audio study of a caterpillar wrapping itself in a cocoon, emerging from it during the Spring season, and flying away…to a club.

“Pokémon Black & White 2” Debut Trailer
Pokémon trainers all over the world are always eagerly waiting for the next game in the franchise, but Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 are special. Being the first time a game in the main series has a numbered sequel, fans aren’t quite sure what to expect from the games.
This new trailer gives just a glimpse at the upcoming Pokémon that trainers will be able to catch and the new gym leaders of Unova.
Pokémon Black & White 2 will be released in Japan on June 23rd and will arrive in North America this fall on the Nintendo DS (with special features for players on the 3DS).
The first wave of the much anticipated sequels to Pokémon Black and White versions have been revealed from CoroCoro. Scans reveal not only new characters but also a new landscape for the Unova region, perhaps much thanks to Kyurem.
Hit the break for more.
This has been confirmed for a while but I decided to wait until it went live to announce the new Pokémon Black and White WiFi event. For all international games, Reshiram and Zekrom are available as a mystery gift depending on what version you have. Basically, you will be getting the opposite dragon from the game. Black version gets Zekrom and White version gets Reshiram.
Hit the break for additional bonus included in the event.
New PV For “Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland”
A new promotional video for Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland is now streaming online.
The OVA features Lelouch and Nunnally time-traveling into an alternate universe where the characters from the series are depicted as characters from Alice in Wonderland. The majority of the Code Geass cast (and their original voice actors) make their appearance in some fashion.
Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland will be available on July 27th of this year. The DVD will come with English subtitles, as well as a 40-page picture book.
Weekend Remix: Remix Was Super Effective
Song: Shades Of Red
Based On: Theme Of Pallet Town from Pokemon Red Version
Original Composer: Junichi Masuda
This week, Shades Of Red, I choose you for the Weekend Remix!
Sometimes, the purpose of a great remix isn’t to completely transform our favorite tunes in a different light, but to expand it, while somehow keeping its roots intact.
Halc’s Pallet Town remix manages to accomplish that feat easily.
It begins, convincing listeners that you’re in store for a chiptune recreation before expanding into band backed remix.
It’s as cheerful and bright as the original tune, and manages to pluck at the nostalgic heart immensely. Listening to this on repeat has done nothing but bring up memories of playing Pokemon Red on the Super Gameboy adaptor on the old TV, in between bouts of catching up on the hit anime version.
And hopefully, this tune will manage to do the same for you.

Until next weekend…GO Party.
Opening Your Day: Rurouni Kenshin (US) (OP 1)
Today, I’m not going to trust those silly horoscopes; I’m out doing my thing my way.
While RPGs had existed long before their console brethren, JRPGs reinvented the genre to make it more accessible for the medium it was produced for.
From the humble beginnings to the million dollar titles that they are today, there are five particular games that stand out above the rest.
Not a single final faggotry game in sight, fucking brilliant
